Dermal Fillers

Volume loss in the face can be replaced with dermal fillers made from Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in your body. It's the most popular volume enhancing treatment, often used to reduce facial lines and to restore plumpness. This natural dermal filler can be administered to non-surgically lift and smooth targeted folds as well as enhancing the lips.

The result of treatments using dermal fillers and lip fillers are seen immediately and you can expect to notice the effects for as long as 18 months. Grace uses only premium filler brands such as Juvederm filler and Restylane.

Dr Grace Kelly aims for a natural, soft airbrushed look that gives you a refreshed appearance that everyone will notice but only you will know why.

Frequently asked questions

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dr Grace Kelly only use the safest, most effective FDA-approved, naturally biodegradable dermal fillers. These are clear hyaluronic acid gels which closely mimic the natural hyaluronic acid in our skin. They are injected just beneath the surface of the skin and are one of the most popular treatments for filling and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid volumises, softens and hydrates the skin. It also aids collagen and elastin organisation underneath the skin which gives the skin a more youthful texture.

How long do Dermal Fillers last?

Dermal fillers are not permanent and will break down over time, so further treatment may be required to maintain your natural, understated appearance. Dr Grace Kelly will give you all the advice you need. All the dermal fillers used by Dr Grace Kelly are made from hyaluronic acid, a natural component of our body and skin, which breaks down after around 9 to 18 months.

Do Fillers hurt?

Some patients can experience a stinging or burning sensation when injected but the local anaesthetic in the product itself is quick acting and will significantly reduce the discomfort. A topical anaesthetic cream is also used when treating sensitive areas such as the lips to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

Is there any downtime from dermal fillers?

Treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes. There is little or no downtime and you can resume normal activities right away. There is no need for allergy testing because the fillers contain hyaluronic acid which naturally occurs in your skin anyway and is used in other medical treatments. If there is a little swelling, you can easily camouflage it with makeup.
